In a little less than a year I will be going to Europe for about 10 months, and I couldn’t be more excited! I will go to Poland for the fall and Wales for the spring, and getting a second Master’s degree while there. I already have some amazing friends to join me in this adventure. It will be amazing! Some people in my program are actually from England and Poland, and that makes it all so much easier. It helps some of them have quickly become great friends! Nervous about it and not being able to come home for holidays, and missing my amazing, amazing friends, but it’s an opportunity I can’t pass up :)
In the mean time I’ll be trying new recipes and taking exams. And I’m ok with that :) This week I made dark chocolate sea salt cookies, as seen on http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/ - yum!! My grandma loved them, which is a win in my book :)
Now time to study for an exam I have tomorrow. Oh, grad school. How you consume me.
Keep me safe, O God, for in You I take refuge. I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.”
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.
Behold the Man upon a cross, my sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there, until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life, I know that it is finished.
I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no power, no wisdom;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart, His wounds have paid my ransom!
